
Singer-Songwriter, Author & Educator



Sharlene-Monique is a London-based singer-songwriter, author and educator whose work centres on empowerment, faith, and the shared human experience. Through music, storytelling, and community engagement, she creates spaces where people feel seen, encouraged, and uplifted.

Her three concept albums — Destiny, Perspective, and Raw & Honest Love — blend soulful, evocative vocals with themes of love, identity, healing, and self-acceptance, offering music that moves both the heart and the spirit..
​
As an independent artist, she has toured across Europe and performed sold-out shows in London and Norway. She supported pop icon Gabrielle on a 15-date UK tour and continues to sing with The Kingdom Choir following their globally televised performance at the 2018 Royal Wedding. With the choir, she has performed at the Hollywood Bowl and on programmes including The Today Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show. She also appeared in seasons 7 and 8 of Call the Midwife.

​A gifted songwriter, she penned “Chases” for The Kingdom Choir and co-wrote “Real Love,” “Together Again,” and “Be Alright,” featured on their Apple Music Home Sessions release.

Her music has been broadcast across BBC Radio London, Premier Gospel, Jazz FM, and other stations, and she has performed live sessions for both radio and industry campaigns, including Shure UK’s Make the World Your Stage.

Alongside her music career, Sharlene is an author whose debut book 31 Diamond Thoughts Vol. 1 offers reflections on relationships, grief, purpose, and intentional living. She is currently writing Volume 2 and recently completed her first children’s book, A New Life, which introduces young readers to the story of the Windrush generation.

An experienced educator of over a decade, she has taught in primary schools and is an award-winning children’s choir conductor. Her work in schools goes beyond music, nurturing confidence, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging among pupils and staff alike.
​
Sharlene is also a passionate broadcaster. She began interviewing artists at The Big Church Festival for TBN UK and went on to host the documentary series Melanated Stories, highlighting the experiences of Black and Brown Christians in Britain. Following the success of Series 1, she returned to host Series 2 in October 2023.
​
Together with her husband, she is co-founder and director of Morris Music Academy CIC, where she helps lead programmes that use music as a tool for personal growth, community connection, and cultural impact.
