Author Visits & Workshops
Inspiration & Education

With over a decade of experience in education and live performance, I deliver engaging, curriculum aligned workshops for EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Built around A New Life, sessions explore the Windrush generation and the wider themes of migration, belonging and resilience through interactive storytelling and music.

Each visit includes live reading, cultural context, pupil discussion and the teaching of an original song connected to the book’s message. Students leave with greater historical understanding, increased confidence and a sense of shared story.

Fully DBS checked. Available for World Book Day, Black History Month and bespoke school events.

To enquire, please complete the form below with your preferred date, key stage and event details. Sessions can be tailored to suit your school’s focus.

Testimonial

'It was such a joy to have this incredible lady in my school. Sharlene-Monique inspired the children in so many ways and it was a delight to hear her story and how it has inspired her to write her book. Thank you Sharlene-Monique for being a beacon of light and for doing all that you do! Since purchasing A New Life last week, my son has made me read it to him every night! Such a great book'
